Student Activities
Upon entering the university, students with a dedicated interest in the field of biology should work hard to take advantage of all the learning opportunities available to them in and out of class. Educational training in biology offers many career options ranging from work in field biology, to laboratory science, to numerous fields in allied health. Our biology curriculum is designed to expose undergraduates to the diverse areas of biology and science in general. Our goal is to provide students with a broad foundation of knowledge in biology to prepare them for their desired careers and to be adaptable to unanticipated career options in the disparate biological disciplines. To be more competitive after graduating, biology majors should consider participating in various extracurricular activities and opportunities. Some of these opportunities are highlighted through the links below, and others will be discovered through interaction with colleagues and teachers.
